What’s Wrong With Asking For Reviews on LinkedIn?

While there’s nothing wrong with asking for online reviews, there’s a right and a wrong way to go about it. Regularly spamming people with requests won’t bring the testimonials you want.

Are you begging for Online Reviews?

One of the more bizarre messages I get on a daily basis is a request to give someone a review on LinkedIn or someplace else… yet I don’t know them!

If you’re using a third-party service and regularly asking other people to leave you reviews, I want to encourage you to re-think your strategy. You should only ask for reviews from people you’ve actually done work for, and you really shouldn’t be asking more than once.
